From the desk of Todd Gadberry, Mountain Harbor Marina Manager and long-time Lake Ouachita expert:
"Can you believe it? Not only have the holidays arrived, but they are speeding by at an astronomical pace. This week we get to celebrate another Thanksgiving ‘Harbor Style’ with all of our family, friends and neighbors. Each year and season become more special to me as I have the privilege of making new friendships, meeting new faces and renewing the bonds with friends and family. We are blessed to enjoy all of the ‘moments’ of this holiday and celebrate all of the joy associated with being truly thankful for our guests. We have a full slate of activities for kids of all ages, 1 to 100+! A Thanksgiving feast will kick things off on Thursday and everyone will have to let out the ‘ole’ belt a notch or two after the festivities. Friday brings the Harbor lighting ceremony with our special guests of honor, Santa and Mrs. Claus! Great music, hay rides and hot cocoa with cookies go ‘hand in hand’ with the over 2 million beautiful lights that will adorn the Harbor Village! It’s not over yet; Saturday evening is the Joplin Volunteer Fire Department’s annual fundraiser with more great fellowship, friends and food at our firehouse with a fundraising auction filled with awesome goodies for everyone to bid on at their pleasure! Join us this holiday and celebrate with us this time for “Thanksgiving” and all of the moments of the season. My wish for you all is this: May you ever be blessed with good health, great friends and peace from a power greater than us all. Happy Thanksgiving!"
