A Message From Bill Barnes

March 14, 2020

We wanted to share a word with you, our customers, our Harbor family and community, about our operations at Mountain Harbor during this time of deep concern amid the impact of the COVID-19 Virus.  The safety and health of our guests, families, friends and crew members is our highest priority, and we will continue to monitor the virus closely.

Mountain Harbor has and always will be a sanctuary – a safe harbor – for those in need of seclusion, a respite, and an opportunity to reconnect with their families, themselves, and nature.  During this ever-evolving global situation, Mountain Harbor Resort and Turtle Cove Spa will remain open and here for you.

The cleanliness and sanitation of our public and customer-use areas including but not limited to our lodging units, restaurant, kitchen, rental fleet, and laundromat is a top priority every day, however, as the situation continued to escalate, so did our cleaning procedures.

  • Cleaning commonly used areas more often including cashier stations, door knobs, credit card terminals, and countertops.
  • Sanitizing restrooms more frequently and restocking with supplies, hand soap, paper towels, and hand sanitizer.
  • Adding extra sanitizing wipes and hand sanitizer.
  • Following guidelines and best practices for food handling and guest care.

Also, as a precaution, we are encouraging our crew members to monitor their health closely by taking their temperature each morning, as well as asking them to stay home if they or someone in their house may be sick.

We encourage all of our guests to follow the health and safety guidelines to help minimize the spread of any germs or viruses.

We commend our local, state, and federal officials for their efforts to control the spread of the virus to the best of their ability.  We will continue to monitor the situation and follow the guidance of the CDC (Centers for Disease Control), WHO (World Health Organization) and other health organizations.

Thank you,
