  • Houses : Harbor House

    This beautiful circa 1960's home sits on almost 2 acres just half a mile from our Lodge. The three bedroom, two bath home, the original residence of Harbor's founder, Hal Barnes, was actually one of the first double wide modular homes ever on the market. It's beautifully furnished in an eclectic blend of the family's original antiques and new contemporary furnishings. Last remodeled spring of '10 the house features a new fully equipped kitchen with bar, native stone fireplace, spacious living area, washer/dryer, two TVs, two VCRs, DVD and a stereo. There is one king in the master, one queen in one guest room and one full in the other. Sleeper sofa and there is a single rollaway in one of the closets.. Outside you'll enjoy the spacious setting with decks and rock patios, a fire pit on the point by the lake, an outdoor fireplace and hot tub on the deck and even its own boat slips (boat slips are $25 per night extra. The House is within a half mile of the Lodge Restaurant, laundromat, swimming pool, playground and our office. The rate per night is based on six people. Additional guests are $10 per night each if over the age of 12. This is a non-smoking, pet friendly unit. Pets are $17.50 each. All of our units have hair dryers, iron and ironing board.

    • Houses : Vanguilder Lodge

      We wanted to offer a truly spacious option for families and groups, but still keep the cost down to make it really affordable! This four bedroom, three bath home, located just off the main road in from the highway (about 1.6 miles from the lodge) has a spacious living area, large dining room, efficient kitchen and loads of outdoor space—a roomy deck, covered dining pavilion and a two-car garage with a stone patio floor that can double as an additional outdoor room for gatherings.

      VanGuilder Lodge -- Mountain Harbor's newest lodging opportunity! Because we listened to what our customers are asking for -- affordable lodging with space for the whole family with the signature Harbor style! We've updated one of the original residences on the Harbor road with fresh new touches to give you the space you need at an exceptional price! This four bedroom, three bath home sits atop an acre and a half of forested landscape just 1.6 miles down the Harbor Road from our Lodge and features a covered outdoor dining area, an enclosed two car garage/patio with native stone floor, a fully equipped kitchen, covered deck off the dining area, washer and dryer, two TV's and a wood burning fireplace. There are two bedrooms with a king bed, one bedroom with a king and a queen and one bedroom with a queen. The spacious living area features a vintage red brick fireplace and there's more sleeping options with a queen sleeper sofa.

      Free wireless internet. Due to its location 1.6 miles from our Lodge, there is no phone extension. The drive up to VanGuilder Lodge is steep and narrow, and there is no turn around area for boat and trailer parking. We highly recommend not taking boats and trailers to VanGuilder Lodge.

      The rate per night is based on 10 people. Additional guests are $10 per night each if over the age of 12. This is a non-smoking, pet friendly unit. Pets are $17.50 each.

      • Houses : Joplin Inn House

        This house offers a spacious option with a huge living room and den area, great kitchen and breakfast space, as well as a full dining room. Two bedrooms with three queen beds, and a daybed in the family room, along with a single bath compliment the large home. The Joplin House is located at The Joplin Inn located on Hwy 270 just across from the turn-in to Mountain Harbor.
